Chillren Again

Overhead issuing from the mouth of a snot-nosed 9-year old while at Bras Basah Complex:

"这里没有电梯。　我好累.”

I hope his parents heard what I said to YW in response:

"那么年轻，就那么懒惰。"

    Mate - is that not typical of the modern young singaporean? No escalavator - shock! Horror! But I am tired - and the stairs will kill me!

    Lazy doesn't begin to describe it - what will they do when they get to NS?

    Well, they'll get the discipline they need. Then complain to their parents, who will, in turn, complain to their MPs, and the whole NS training syllabus gets watered-down some more.
