I just spent almost $200 on three photobooks (Richard Avedon, Joyce Tenneson, and a compilation) and I'm feeling positively peachy despite the lightness of my wallet.
Thought it was because you said that you'd bought the books, which make you happy, with money? :) I know for a fact that money can buy you beers, which makes everybody happy.
I was going for a description of the current state of pennilessness and being happy about the purchaese and not the pre-existing state of having said $200 and having nothing in my photobook library.
Former ad executive, teacher, now photographer (and sometime screenwriter). Wearer of many hats in my life; husband, brother, son, friend. Still hoping to save the world. Not earning as much, but infinitely happier with life in general.
Which doesn't explain the angry blog.
