Yep, and all for the price of a 120 GB hard disk and two jugs of beer. Still much, much cheaper than the $480 the Apple Service Centre was asking for to replace my old 80 GB disk...
Go figure.

yeah! freaking robbery!
and if you ask to keep to your ol' HDD, they'll charge you bloody 600+!!!
'cos apparently the ol' HDD is used for some trade-in, without which you'll pay the whole bloody price of 600 bloody dollars and more!
apple hardware breakdown is the pits! you pay thru your ass for the repairs and wosnots..

yeah. daylight & nightlight robbery.
one of the joints/ swivels which held the screen to the system was broken, and they are asking $1K to replace the screen. Now I have to make do with not closing the screen, because if I close it, I might have a hard time getting the screen running again. The worst is that now it is a desktop more than a laptop. damn. -TOHA

And I didn't remember to add in that other little snippet: apparently after the laptop went to the Service Centre, it came back sans one screw. The one that keeps the hard disk in place...
