"Have you cooked enough for your family?" I ask. Because, y'know, one plate of something isn't very much for a family of 4 adults and 2 kids...

Cut him some slack - a man who gets a Public Service Medal by making movies in which he and two other chumps chainsmoke for two hours straight can't be all that bad.

I'll cut him some slack when he, as director and filmmaker, notices things like not having enough food on the table for all the people in the scene, endorses and takes part in an ad with glaring mistakes.
